ROTARY, FREEMASONRY AND THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH

This badge was found by our historian colleague, Dr.  Wolfgang Ziegler and triggered off a search for its origin which has not yet been resolved.   The central part of what is otherwise a normal Rotary lapel badge, seems to show the symbols of Freemasonry, the set square and compasses, while the letter 'G' in the centre is also an indication of the Scottish Rite of Masonry. We know that many of the early Rotarians were Masons and  that, according to C.R. Hewitt in 'Towards My Neighbour', some Rotary clubs recruited exclusively from Freemasons until the practice was banned in the 1920s.  To date, no precise details of these links have been found in the archives of either body.

However, many people who did not know much about these organisations, thought that Rotary was a form of Masonry.  This eventually led to a much more serious problem when the Catholic Church, which had long been an antagonist of Masonry, classed Rotary as a similar organisation.   

G.K. Chesterton who was often a vocal critic of Rotary, was a Catholic convert. and his adherence to the sectarian line may have coloured his views.

The problems seem to have started in Spain about 1928 when  the Bishops of  Almeria, Leon,  Orense, Palencia and Tuy  laid charges that  Rotary is  "nothing else but a new satanic  organisation with the same background and teachings of masonry" and that "according to documents and reliable sources, Rotary is a suspected organisation, and should be considered as execrable and perverse". The Church also criticised and condemned Rotary for showing  a concept of life and of service without reference to church teaching.  Indeed, it seems that  they believed it a secret society with quasi-religious overtones as many in the Church thought was the case with Freemasonry.  For whatever reason, the Vatican took up the reins and  in 1929 issued a decree that "it is not expedient" for Catholic priests to participate in Rotary either as members or guests. This decree and its implications were worrying to the many Catholics in Rotary not the least the then President Tom Sutton who was himself a Catholic, and former Chancellor Germany Wilhelm Cuno, a member in Hamburg.

Critical and at times disparaging articles regularly appeared in Catholic newspapers, especially in the  'Civilta Cattolica' in Italy, and Tom Sutton went off to Rome to try to convince the Papal authorities that Rotary was not Masonic, and that it was a movement which was not in conflict with any Catholic teaching.

Sutton's attempts to convince the Secretary of State in the Vatican, Cardinal Gaspari, were fruitless and the anti-Rotary articles continued to be published.  An even more virulent article later appeared in Paris in 'La France Catholique' making allegations about both Paul Harris and the links between Rotary and Freemasonry, which were later reprinted in the Baltic paper 'Rytas'.

The factual errors could be, and promptly were shown to be false, and by 1933  there was a mood swing in the Vatican, perhaps partly occasioned by the number of prominent and influential Catholics throughout the world who were joining Rotary.  Priests were now allowed to use their discretion about attending or even joining Rotary.   Nevertheless, one of the results of the Church's attitude was the slow development of Rotary in some predominantly Catholic countries such as Ireland.  

This uneasy peace continued until 1951 when another Vatican decree warned priests that they should not join Rotary and that "the faithful should be aware of seditious and suspected organisations".  

By then, however, the world had changed and the decree caused an immediate angry response, among others from the then Catholic President of RI, Arthur Laqueux, and from the Rotarian Catholic Bishop of Fort Wayne, Indiana, who publicly declared  the decree "quite incomprehensible".

Fairly soon, the Vatican began to retract. The official newspaper 'Osservatore Romano' wrote "In some nations, because of a prevalent Masonic influx, the action of Rotary Clubs has conflicted with the activity and the needs of the Church.  It must be said, however, that such has not been the case in other nations where the attitude of Rotary has shown itself in practice tolerant and benevolent towards religious interests."

By the end of the decade, the Catholic Truth Society was able to declare that "Rotary is neither secret nor seditious".  It was nevertheless still regarded as a "society banned under pain of sin only"  and not of "sin and excommunication".  Gradually there was a thaw in relations between the Church and Rotary. In 1970 Pope Pius VI addressed Rotarians in Italy, and in 1979 Pope John Paul II spoke to the International Convention in Rome, praising some of Rotary's humanitarian programmes at a  special audience in the Vatican.  Later he accepted a Paul Harris Fellowship and a World Understanding and Peace Award from Rotary, while Catholic priests throughout the world were taking positions of authority, even serving as District Governors.

David Icke, former sports journalist and famous for conspiracy theories, arrived in Zagreb on Tuesday.

He said that he was surprised that so many people in Croatia are familiar with his work and he joked that he has not stopped talking for the last two days.

Icke claims that Al-Qaeda was formed by the USA, and the creator is the man who stands behind the campaign of the Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. Icke claims that Zbigniew Brzezinski, one of president Carter’s former advisors, admitted that the Americans founded and trained Al-Qaeda. After the organization was sent to Afghanistan, their next destinations would be the United States and Great Britain.

According to his claims, the same man is involved in the rebellion in South Ossetia, which resulted in the recent start of the bloody battle between Georgia and Russia.

All around us is like a hologram

The world around us is some sort of illusion, like a hologram, says Icke. He explains that all of this that we see is only a part of what around us. Our bodies are “programmed” to notice things that are at a certain frequency, and we are not able to see everything else.

He compared those people who wish to rule world politics, economics and media with spiders that capture us in their webs.

The United States and the European Union are such spiders, and warns that Croatia could soon fall into a web that is hard to get out of.

“America controls Saudi Arabia, as well as Georgia” claims Icke. This is how he explains the expansion and control of that powerful spider.

Icke is best known to the public for his hybrid race of reptiles that rule the world, who are tied by their blood lines. According to his claims, amongst them are Bush and the British royal family, as well as many that rule behind the scenes. As he says, offspring of that race have the look of reptiles, and many of them are not even aware of it.

He said that there are descendants of the race of reptiles all over the world, even in Croatia. Of course not all of the people, there are a lot less of them, and does not mean that they are in some high position like a president or premier, said Icke for Javno. He stressed that there are around 4 percent of reptiles on this planet, but that they have managed to rule.

He stressed that he does not know why four and a half million Croatians accept what the Cabinet promotes, even though most people disagree with it.

Icke said that one man told him that he disagrees with Croatia entering the European Union, but that he is not complaining because that is what the Cabinet wants, who do whatever they want anyway.

Not even a shower distracted Icke

The mood could not be ruined by showers, which did ruin the video screen presentation. However, Icke was not distracted, who kept on telling about the race of reptiles which came to Earth before the New Era, their plan being complete domination of our planet.

- Those who rule on top of a pyramid control the presidents. Their plan is to divide the planet into four parts – the European Union, the American, Atlantic and African Union – Icke explained, pointing out that American President Bush, British Prime Minister Brown and many others were just puppets being controlled by those behind the scenes.

Apart from describing the actions of the Illuminati in great detail and the affect of the media and religion on the masses, he got special attention asking the question: “Who are we?”.

Icke: It is time to wake up

- We are programmed to see only what is on our frequency. We are all one, we have universal knowledge that we only have to remember. In a way, we are hypnotised and cannot see what is obvious – said Icke, explaining it was much like not noticing an elephant in the living room.

In the end, he told the gathered crown that it was time “we all woke up and resisted those who rule because they are the minority”.

Everyone sees David Icke up there somewhere, but understand, we are one and we have universal knowledge, we just need to remember – David Icke finished his lecture.

Babalon Bunch - Jack Parsons, The Magickal Scientist and His Circle

"[The angel] carried my spirit away to the desert. I saw the scarlet woman sitting on the beast with seven heads and ten horns, covered with blasphemous names. The woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and gilded with gold and precious stones and pearls, with a golden cup in her hand filled with the abominations and the unclean things of her fornication. On her forehead a name had been written, 'A Mystery: Babalon the great, the mother of harlots and of the abominations of the earth.' I saw the woman was drunk from the blood of the saints, and from the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. Seeing her, I wondered greatly."

I shall I write of the mystery and the terror, of the wonder and pity and splendor of the sevenfold star that is Babalon? I shall tell of the tragic life of her most devoted disciple and beloved son, Jack Parsons. In doing so, I will correct previous misconceptions while correlating the known facts and wild legends that lie in several far-flung sources.

Kenneth Grant gives a good description of Parsons in The Magical Revival: "Imbued with the idea of the Kingly Man, as that expression is understood in the Cult of Thelema [Crowley's invention], Parsons bent his not inconsiderable energies, physical and intellectual, to the discovery of his True Will."

Born on October 2, 1914, in Los Angeles [descendant of a HellFire Club founder, according to Michael Hoffman], he lived a lonely childhood, due in part to his parents' broken marriage. He spent a great deal of his youth reading and day-dreaming, and nurturing a growing resentment of all interference, especially of the kind posing as "authority." He developed strong revolutionary tendencies and when he encountered Crowley's writings -- which he first did through Wilfred T. Smith -- he was instantly alive to the significance of Thelema. He joined Smith's Agape Lodge [OTO], and, at the same time, became a Probationer, 1ø = 10ø, of the A:. A:.

Smith was a member of Frater Achad's (Charles Stansfeld Jones) OTO lodge in Vancouver. He met Crowley there in 1915. Smith moved to California in 1930. He immediately founded the Agape Lodge in Pasadena. Frater Achad kept the Vancouver lodge open during this period, under a different name. It would later close. In "Alchemical Conspiracy and the Death of the West" Michael Hoffman writes of Parsons. Hoffman tells us that the Ordo Templi Orientis (OTO) had a temple on nearby Mount Palomar. The local Indians regarded the mountain as holy. Hoffman says, "The OTO believed that Palomar was the sexual chakra of the Earth." Parsons commuted regularly between Palomar and Pasadena. The Mount Palomar Observatory opened in 1949. Smith probably consecrated his temple on Palomar soon after his move to California in 1930, before the Observatory was planned.

Palomar lies just minutes north of the 33rd parallel. This is significant because 33 is an important number in Masonic symbolism. It is the number of the highest grade of the Scottish Rite. It is also the number of years Christ walked on the earth. Hoffman mentions the 33 bones of the human spinal cord. This brings to mind kundalini yoga. Crowley's OTO was a quasi-masonic order. The higher grades show esoteric Hindu influences of a sexual nature.

Parsons first met Smith in 1939. He joined the Agape Lodge in 1941. Parsons was to be its head during the turbid 1940s (ca. 1942-1947). Smith was known in the Lodge as Frater Velle Omnia Velle Nihil (aka Fra. 132). He was an expatriate Englishman. Smith had a reputation for womanizing that equalled Crowley's. Parsons saw Smith as a second father. The two stayed close throughout their lives.

Smith wrote to Crowley in March, 1941, "I think I have at long last a really excellent man, John Parsons. And starting next Tuesday he begins a course of talks with a view to enlarging our scope. He has an excellent mind and much better intellect than myself...John Parsons is going to be valuable."

Soror Estai (actress Jane Wolfe) had been with Crowley at Cefalu [Italian island where Crowley had previously set up residence before being kicked out by the local authorities] before coming to California. She recorded her first impression of Parsons in her Magical Record for December, 1940:

"Unknown to me, John Whiteside Parsons, a newcomer, began astral travels. This knowledge decided Regina [Kahl] to undertake similar work. All of which I learned after making my own decision. So the time must be propitious. Incidentally, I take Jack Parsons to be the child who 'shall behold them all' [i.e., the Mysteries. See the Book of the Law I: 54-55].

"26 years of age, 6'2", vital, potentially bisexual at the very least, University of the State of California and Cal. Tech., now engaged in Cal Tech chemical laboratories developing 'bigger and better' explosives for Uncle Sam. Travels under sealed orders from the government. Writes poetry -- 'sensuous only', he says. Lover of music, which he seems to know thoroughly. I see him as the real successor of Therion [Crowley]. Passionate; and has made the vilest analyses result in a species of exaltation after the event. Has had mystical experiences which gave him a sense of equality all round, although he is hierarchical in feeling and in the established order."

Parsons' father died in 1942. He left his son a mansion in an expensive part of Pasadena. This may have been his way of making up to his son for his childhood. Parsons shocked the staid residents of this well manicured neighborhood when he started renting out rooms to less-than-desirable tenants. "Only atheists and those of a Bohemian disposition," his newspaper ad stated. The frequent visitors, noisy parties, and questionable goings-on raised many eyebrows. Parsons needed the extra income these renters paid. His progress with rockets had yet to yield any success.

Alva Rogers was a long-time resident of the Parsons house on Orange Street. Rogers became associated with the house after attending several science fiction meetings there. Parsons held these informal meetings regularly on weekends. Rogers wrote, "Mundane souls were unceremoniously rejected as tenants. There was a professional fortune teller and seer who always wore appropriate dresses and decorated her apartment with symbols and artifacts of arcane lore. There was a lady, well past middle age but still strikingly beautiful, who claimed to have been at various times the mistress of half the famous men in France. There was a man who had been a renowned organist in the great movie palaces of the silent era. They were characters all. [From the rent they paid] Jack admitted that he was one of Crowley's main sources of money in America."

At one point local police came to investigate an alleged backyard ceremony. A pregnant woman had reportedly jumped nude through a fire nine times. The police made it clear how absurd they thought the claim was. Parsons easily assured them of his community standing. He was an important rocket scientist with a professional reputation to uphold.

Burton Wolfe writes of a sixteen-year-old boy who reported Parsons to the police. He told them that Parsons' followers had forcibly sodomized him during a Black Mass at the house. The police investigated. They found Parsons' cult to be little more than an organization dedicated to religious and philosophical speculation, with respectable members such as a Pasadena bank president, doctors, lawyers, and Hollywood actors." At one point the FBI became involved after receiving some anonymous letters. One bore the signature, "An American Soldier." The police again cleared Parsons of all charges. They would later stand by their findings when further accusations arose.

Wilfred Smith's mistress of many years was Regina Kahl. She was also his High Priestess of the Gnostic Mass. Separate photos of her and Smith are in The Equinox Vol. III, no. 10. Smith had a charming personality, a strong affinity for the opposite sex, and what Grant calls "something more than an aptitude for magick." One of Smith's conquests was Soror Grimaud, aka Helen Northrup. She was Parsons' first wife.

Helen bore Smith a child in 1943. Crowley decided that was enough of Smith's sexual infidelity. His affairs were a detriment to the Order. Crowley expelled him through an ingenious means. Crowley drew up a horoscope for Smith based on the unusual circumstance of his birth. Smith's horoscope had a complex of eight planets. One could interpret this horoscope as if Smith were an avatar of some god. This was something Crowley had found in only one other instance, that of Shakespeare.

Crowley sent Smith on a Grand Magical Retirement to find the god within himself. Crowley wrote Liber Apotheoosis (aka Liber 132) for Smith to use as his guide. Smith's Retirement took place on Temple Hill at Rancho Royale, not Mount Palomar. Helen accompanied him. Crowley formally expelled Smith in late 1943. Parsons then became Acting Head of the Lodge. Regina Kahl would die during Smith's Magical Retirement, in late 1945 or early 1946. Her untimely death deeply depressed him.

Parsons divorced Helen in 1943. In the meantime he struck up a relationship with her younger sister Betty. Like Helen, Betty acted as Parsons' priestess at the Gnostic Mass. She was also his partner in the performance of 9th Degree magic. This is the magic of inducing altered states through prolonged sexual ecstasy. At Parsons' urging the teenage Betty left the University of Southern California (USC), to her parents' chagrin.

Enter "Frater H." Grant refers to him as "a confidence trickster who had wormed his way into the OTO on the pretense of being interested in Magick." He was "still at large [1972], having grown wealthy and famous by a misuse of the secret knowledge which he had wormed out of Parsons." Other writers refer to him merely as "Frater X." The late Frater X's identity is now clearly a matter of public record. I see no reason to do anything other than call him by name. He was L.Ron Hubbard: philosopher, world traveller, science fiction author, and founder of Scientology.

Parsons was young and impressionable. He had gone through repeated upheavals during his short life. He was vulnerable. Hubbard made a big impression on him. Parsons forgot his obligation and violated his oath to the Order. He revealed to Hubbard the secrets of the highest grades of the OTO.

Parsons wrote to Crowley in July, 1945, "About three months ago I met [Hubbard], a writer and explorer of whom I had known for some time [because he wrote science fiction]...He moved in with me about two months ago, and although Betty and I are still friendly, she has transferred her sexual affections to him...We are pooling our resources in a partnership that will act as a limited company to control our business ventures. I think I have made a great gain, and as Betty and I are the best of friends there is little loss...I need a magical partner. I have many experiments in mind..."

The magical partner Parsons envisioned was to be his partner in a 9th Degree working. Grant writes, "Having lost confidence in women, Parsons decided to attract an Elemental Spirit to take Betty's place..." These spirits are called Elementals because of their association with the four elements of the ancients. To summon one requires a large amount of magical energy, the kind generated by an 8th Degree working. The practice of the 8th Degree is a solo sexual rite.

Says Grant, "The instructions that accompany the eighth Degree of the OTO contain methods for evoking an Elemental, or familiar spirit. It is said to be an easy matter to attract such a spirit because the souls of the elements desire constantly to be absorbed into the cycle of human evolution, this being the only way in which they can achieve salvation and perpetuity of existence. On being appropriated by a human organism, the elemental finally becomes absorbed in the immortal principle in man." Compare Jim Morrison's remark to an interviewer that the air around us is full of spirits. "They know we exist, and envy us our bodies."

Grant quotes from the instructions for the 8th Degree, written about the adept desirous of performing such an operation:

(1) That he choose wisely a reasonable soul, docile, apt, beautiful, and in all ways worthy of love.

(2) That he fall not away from love of the Great Goddess into love of this inferior, but give only as a master and of his mercy, knowing that this also is service to the Goddess.

(3) That of such familiar spirits he have but four [one for each element?]. And let him regulate their service, appointing hours for each.

(4) That he treat them with kindness and firmness, being on his guard against their tricks.

"This being said, it is enough; for to have them is but the pains to call them forth from their homes. And the Spirits of the Elemental Tablets given by Dr. Dee and Sir Kelley are the best..."

In 1943 Parsons published a brief poem in the Oriflamme, an OTO publication. At this point it bears repeating:

"I hight don Quixote, I life on peyote,
marijuana, morphine and cocaine.
I never know sadness, but only a madness
that burns at tle heart and the brain.
I see each charwoman, ecstatic, inhuman,
angelic, demonic, divine.
Each wagon a dragon, each beer mug a flagon
that brims with ambrosial wine."

Symonds and Wilson have documented that narcotics and hallucinogens were a basic staple of Crowley's magical diet. It is easier to induce astral vision when one alternately dulls and excites the senses by chemical means. One cannot underemphasize the role of drugs here. I suspect they were a part of the Babalon Working. Combined with sex magick, this makes a powerful tool.

Using the "Angelick" language channelled by Elizabethan astrologer John Dee and his scribe Edward Kelley, Parsons began his operation. He recited the Seventh Aire (or Aethyr) in the original Enochian. Per Crowley's advice, he kept diligent records. Parsons would later compare some of the curious results to Kelley's own criminal life. The surviving fragments of Parsons' Babalon Working are now the property of the OTO. Parsons' second wife Marjorie Cameron holds the copyright to Freedom Is A Two-Edged Sword.

The preliminaries began January 4, 1946 at 9 pm. Prokofiev's Violin Concerto played loudly on the phonograph. The formal working would begin the following evening. Russell Miller refers to it as eleven nights of "talisman waving." Later that month Parsons would write Crowley describing his progress. He noted a spontaneous windstorm as a curious side-effect. It began the second day and lasted throughout the Babalon Working. Parsons awoke on the sixth day of the Working, January 10. He heard nine loud, unexplainable knocks. I note a similarity to the nine regular knocks that Whitley Strieber felt confirmed the existence of his Visitors [interesting correlation here, no? -B:.B:.]. Parsons got out of bed. He noticed a lamp lay smashed on the floor. The knocks were repeated on the 15th.

January 15 was the eleventh and final day. Hubbard perceived a spirit "clad in a black robe and having an evil pasty ["grey" -B:.B:.] face." Grant says this was Smith, who had failed to identify the god within himself. Grant says Smith astrally attacked Parsons in revenge. The electricity went out as they began invoking and something struck Hubbard on the right shoulder. It knocked a candle from his hand. "He called me," Parsons wrote, "and we observed a brownish-yellow light about seven feet high. I brandished a magical sword, and it disappeared. Ron's right arm was paralyzed for the rest of the night." Parsons awakened later that night after hearing a "buzzing, metallic" ["alien" -B:.B:.] voice. The voice cried, "Let me go free!" Parsons sleepily performed the brief magical operation (nonsexual) known as the License to Depart. It is in the Goetia, or Lesser Key of Solomon. Smith's spirit was free to return to his body.

Parsons wrote Crowley, "I have diligently followed the VIIIth Degree instructions as:

(a) creation of new orders of beings with consecrated talismanic images. Possible connective result: increase in writing output;

(b) Invocation of Mother Goddess, using Priest's call in mass and silver cup as talisman; sometimes using suitable poetry such as Venus. Possible connective result: loss of Betty's affections as preliminary to

(c) Invocation of Air Elemental Kerub [Cherub]...in Enochian Air Tablet."

The rite ended with Parsons commanding the spirit to appear in human form. On January 18 they went into the Mojave Desert to recuperate. Parsons turned to Hubbard at the end of the trip and said simply, "It is done."

On February 23, 1946 Parsons triumphantly wrote to Crowley, "I have my elemental! She turned up one night after the conclusion of the Operation, and has been with me since." The Elemental was Marjorie Cameron, sprung from Parsons' head like Sophia from the Godhead or Pallas Athena from Zeus. She adopted the magical name "Candida," [candida -- a vaginal and occasionally intestinal parasitic yeast/fungus -B:.B:.] calling herself "Candy" for short. Soon she married Parsons, and helped him with his magick.

Crowley sent Parsons an admonishment about Cameron. He reminded him of Eliphas Levi's advice that, "The love of the Magus for such things [Elementals] is insensate and may destroy him." Be aware that Crowley considered himself to be the reincarnation of Levi. Crowley also claimed to have intervened personally on Parsons' behalf, presumably on the astral plane. He does not say. It is possible Crowley knew someone who could send a girl like Cameron to Parsons. Cameron was from New York, though she had been born in Iowa and raised in the "Cthulhu Country" of Wisconsin. Crowley had spent some time in New York during World War I. Cameron spent most of her February back in New York visiting her mother. Hubbard was out of town on business.

On February 28, Parsons made a solo trip back to the desert and received Liber 49 in an unexplained manner. Jacques Vallee says Parsons claimed to have met a Venusian there in 1945 or 1946. Without the exact date, one cannot tell if the Venusian was the implied source of Liber 49. Parsons took this to be an affirmation of the need to produce a magickal child. When Hubbard returned he channelled a message from a red-haired, green-eyed angel ordering them to "Light first flame at 10pm, March 2, 1946. The year of Babalon is 4063." That would be 2118 BC, the significance of which I have not determined. Cameron returned from New York and moved in with Parsons. She was now to be an integral part of the Babalon Working. After Parsons' initial contact with the Beyond, Hubbard began acting as seer. Parsons called him Scribe in his notes. I do not know whether Hubbard actually participated in the higher workings of the OTO. Based on other sources I will discuss shortly it is clear he was present when Parsons did.

The operation began as directed on March 2. That evening a fire started in Parsons' chimney. Later he decided it had occurred when he had smashed an image of Pan as a sacrifice. The idol had been a favorite personal possession. The papers containing the Seventh Aire that he burned may have had something to do with the fire as well. Parsons expressed his confidence, but wrote, "Now I can do no more than pray and wait."

Between the second and fourth of March, 1946, Parsons recorded in a letter to Crowley what he described as "the most devastating experience of my life. I believe it was the result of the IXth Degree working with the girl who answered my elemental summons. I have been in direct communication with one who is most Holy and beautiful, mentioned in The Book of the Law. I cannot write the name at present." Secretly he did write her name. He called her Babalon. Parsons documented the working in The Book of Babalon, of which a little survives. Liber 49 he came to see as a heretical fourth chapter of The Book of the Law. There are only three. He saw the four chapters as corresponding to the four letters of the ineffable name of God: YHWH, the Hebrew Yod He Vau He. He assigned one chapter to each letter and to what each letter represented. Drop in solar activity has potential effect for climate on earth.

The sun has reached a milestone not seen for nearly 100 years: an entire month has passed without a single visible sunspot being noted.

The event is significant as many climatologists now believe solar magnetic activity – which determines the number of sunspots -- is an influencing factor for climate on earth.

According to data from Mount Wilson Observatory, UCLA, more than an entire month has passed without a spot. The last time such an event occurred was June of 1913. Sunspot data has been collected since 1749.

When the sun is active, it's not uncommon to see sunspot numbers of 100 or more in a single month.  Every 11 years, activity slows, and numbers briefly drop to near-zero.   Normally sunspots return very quickly, as a new cycle begins.

But this year -- which corresponds to the start of Solar Cycle 24 -- has been extraordinarily long and quiet, with the first seven months averaging a sunspot number of only 3. August followed with none at all. The astonishing rapid drop of the past year has defied predictions, and caught nearly all astronomers by surprise.

In 2005, a pair of astronomers from the National Solar Observatory (NSO) in Tucson attempted to publish a paper in the journal Science. The pair looked at minute spectroscopic and magnetic changes in the sun. By extrapolating forward, they reached the startling result that, within 10 years, sunspots would vanish entirely. At the time, the sun was very active. Most of their peers laughed at what they considered an unsubstantiated conclusion.

The journal ultimately rejected the paper as being too controversial.

The paper's lead author, William Livingston, tells DailyTech that, while the refusal may have been justified at the time, recent data fits his theory well. He says he will be "secretly pleased" if his predictions come to pass.

But will the rest of us? In the past 1000 years, three previous such events -- the Dalton, Maunder, and Spörer Minimums, have all led to rapid cooling. One was large enough to be called a "mini ice age". For a society dependent on agriculture, cold is more damaging than heat. The growing season shortens, yields drop, and the occurrence of crop-destroying frosts increases.

Meteorologist Anthony Watts, who runs a climate data auditing site, tells DailyTech the sunspot numbers are another indication the "sun's dynamo" is idling. According to Watts, the effect of sunspots on TSI (total solar irradiance) is negligible, but the reduction in the solar magnetosphere affects cloud formation here on Earth, which in turn modulates climate.

This theory was originally proposed by physicist Henrik Svensmark, who has published a number of scientific papers on the subject. Last year Svensmark's "SKY" experiment claimed to have proven that galactic cosmic rays -- which the sun's magnetic field partially shields the Earth from -- increase the formation of molecular clusters that promote cloud growth. Svensmark, who recently published a book on the theory, says the relationship is a larger factor in climate change than greenhouse gases.

Solar physicist Ilya Usoskin of the University of Oulu, Finland, tells DailyTech the correlation between cosmic rays and terrestrial cloud cover is more complex than "more rays equals more clouds". Usoskin, who notes the sun has been more active since 1940 than at any point in the past 11 centuries, says the effects are most important at certain latitudes and altitudes which control climate. He says the relationship needs more study before we can understand it fully.

Other researchers have proposed solar effects on other terrestrial processes besides cloud formation. The sunspot cycle has strong effects on irradiance in certain wavelengths such as the far ultraviolet, which affects ozone production. Natural production of isotopes such as C-14 is also tied to solar activity. The overall effects on climate are still poorly understood.

What is incontrovertible, though, is that ice ages have occurred before. And no scientist, even the most skeptical, is prepared to say it won't happen again.

Article Update, Sep 1 2008.  After this story was published, the NOAA reversed their previous decision on a tiny speck seen Aug 21, which gives their version of the August data a half-point.  Other observation centers such as Mount Wilson Observatory are still reporting a spotless month.  So depending on which center you believe, August was a record for either a full century, or only 50 years.

Continuing this week's theme of freemasonic/"illuminati" control of the music industry by analyzing the symbols they put out in to their videos/concerts/etc; I want to go into some of Kylie Minogue's (KM/MK) videos but first start with her latest concert which acted as the centre-piece of Channel4's new music channel 4Music so many people were watching it as all these symbols were forced into their consciousness for whatever effect. Kylie (K-eye-lie/lee, Kylie/Miley) and Dannii (Dan, two i's/eyes/pillars) come from Australia (Oz), a land that was ravaged and all spirituality lost in the face of the white man's systematic destruction of it's indigenous population [Last Wave highly recommended]. Australia is as controlled by Freemasonry (etc) as the rest of the world (see the Australian Heath Ledger movie, their police wear the checkerboard etc), and like America it is a vast land making it perfect for covert black projects (mind control programming centres and whatnot) to take place in the darkest, isolated areas of the Oztralian deserts [combined size 1,371,000 (13, 37, 17) square km]. The products of which are then paraded on television in things like Neighbours with KM or Heath Ledger in movies, their lives obviously ritualized to the extreme [KM's "checkered" life shows this, which I will attempt to show]. Below is her latest album's (X) cover, including singles such as 2 Hearts [note the green butterfly on a guitarist/singer over one eye, the skulls/general occultism], The One [total emotion sucker, "Love Me... I'm the One." with hypnotic video], and an extremely blatant mind control one In My Arms [note they've got her dressed up in checkerboards again and various MK symbolisms such as her trapped in a box and whatnot].

Before getting to her videos and the Freemasonic/MK symbolism contained within them I want to analyze her latest tour: KYLIEX2008 (X is a cross obviously and is used in loads of things to fuck with your head, X-Factor, X-Files, XXX etc.). But before that, a quick run through of some of the significant things she has been in. In Moulin Rouge, she played the green fairy called absinthe (extremely powerful alcoholic drink, used in mind control; the youth of today pretty much exist in a binge-drinking stupor, it doesn't take a genius to figure out why they are so easily controlled, ignorance is extremely blissful especially when you're "off your head"). She also provided the voice (a lot of voice actors, probably a majority of those in Hollywood are mind controlled by the way, think about it [massive change to voice etc]) for Florence in the Magic Roundabout, which I have seen and contains a tonne of mind control themes which I'll get to at some point. Florence is frozen in ice inside the magic roundabout/carousel.... hint hint. She also appeared in a Doctor Who Christmas Special which attracted.... 13.31 million viewers [I am of the belief they pull these figures out of a hat to suit their occult ritualistic needs, hence a mirrored 13 and others I have noted in the past], it was officially announced that she would appear in this episode on July 3rd 2007 (7/3 777, more ritual).

Kylie in Doctor Who, The Sun makes the obvious phallic "sonic screwdriver" reference. Screw|driver, screwing = sex, "driver" implies forcefully moving forward; wrote about screwdrivers in relation to Lynch's Inland Empire in this post.

Like Leona Lewis, she also sang Over the Rainbow; playing further into her Oz programming [note the rising crescent moon she sits on in the video] which seems to be a common theme in Mind Controlled Media Monarchs, who are designed to have some effect on the masses through their lyrics/music/videos/movies, obviously we can only speculate as to what effect these have on the masses' psyches. Reading her wiki page, there are plenty more mind control synchs (comparisons to Madonna, calling her "pretty, but mindless and talentless", "a blend of lolita and barbarella"; the latter quote is unsurprisingly from the fashion industry). Kylie's main hits (as far as I can remember) also suggest mind control as her biggest so far is "Can't Get You Out of My Head": some one is inside Kylie's head (almost literally) is the implication here. Another one of her massive hits that made her posterior a thing of worship (moon worship, see this video, Mouseketeer ritual machine JT [Janet Jackson breast/sun worship] helped this too during them singing Blondie's Rapture together, this was a big deal in the news at the time apparently) was "Spinning Around"; people should be aware of spin programming in mind control so this is again another obvious MK synch/admission; it's B-Side was "Paper Dolls". We have already seen checkerboard symbolism on KM, it is unsurprising to me that even her home is part of her ritualized existence as it is number 53(=8) and has a checkerboard floor walkway.

Her life has certainly been "checkered" to say the least; what with her breast cancer (assuming that wasn't a cover for something else... she has come back with avengeance since then), and dark/light checker symbolism was illustrated helpfully yesterday in this article from the Daily Mail about Kylie, "her dark side" (as opposed to light, dark/light duality). These are also seen in some of her videos and concerts as we have already seen in the In My Arms one (cover of the single pictured above, watch the video) and I will show more of this Masonic "marking of their property" in the following concert and in a few of her videos.

The 'X' Concert begins with a pair of hands (assuming it's Keyelie's) closed, then they open revealing an all seeing eye; then basically every occult symbol known to man [I think I even saw the MI5 pyramid logo just before it faded out, an eye of Ra and everything else] is propelled towards the audience from the eye (doesn't get more occult than that; you can clearly see that is unarguably the satanic pentagram; complete with our good friend Baphomet and the rest of the symbols that go with it). This is all done whilst the song Speakerphone is played with its ridiculously blatant mind control lyrics (most of her songs are, this one starts with, "Music make you lose control Lights, mind, eyes, heart", another one called Lose Control is pure mind control also).

As you'd expect K's are everywhere (K=11 1 mirrored), note the purple everywhere (dissociative/subconsciously polarizing colour; mix of red/blue). Not sure if that is a subliminal pentagram or something too.

Note the hexagonal honeycomb sunglasses/mask thing from the X cover mentioned earlier and the Ankh. All these symbols get stuck to Kylie's face which is now on the big screen and they come shooting out of her again towards the audience from her eyes and mouth. Very Luciferian in my opinion [the "Knowledge" or "Light" i.e occult symbols and other things hidden from the masses coming from their "star" (star=light) Kylie towards the sheeple living in the darkness]. See this intro bit here [havn't watched it, might be slightly different to the one I saw].



It goes all American, with the cheerleader dancers saying "Hey Minnie" (as in Minogue/Minnie Mouse) showing a Disney MK synch [Disney corp have used that song] I had not thought of, I was wondering what her last name was about. Anyway they say "Hey Minnie your so fine your so fine you blow my mind hey Minnie" with rotating/spinning pentagrams all over the place. More K's. See it here.

The Matrix is a common theme throughout this tour, as the same Matrix green symbols thing is used near the start and here (Kylie is made up of Matrix symbols on the screen behind the skull that she is draped across).


More blatant illuminism here as a cube descends from above, and Kylie inside a pyramid ascends from below [probably has some "as above, so below" type symbolism], between twin tower resonating Japaneze paper wall things naturally (which is the letter K because it is 11, two towers). Connecting Freemasonry (pyramid etc.) with mind control, the pyramid opens revealing Kylie inside wearing a gold mask [masked personalities] and some kind of a cage on the other side [see it here]. This is just such blatant symbolism, do people really question nothing at all and ask wtf is going on here?! [ritual freemasonry]

To completely the freemasonic ritual, she gets back in the pyramid and it descends as the cube ascends again with red light covering the stage.

The scene again changes to some more blatant Freemasonry, note the checkerboard floor obviously, the pillar [reflected so twin pillars] etc. Also they are wearing sashes, sashes are worn in some Freemasonic rituals [not most minds]. It is a mirror image too.

I think that is a good point to end the analysis of her latest tour (soldiers are sent off to die/be sacrificed in "tours" [i.e. 1st tour of Iraq, 2nd etc.]) and move onto her earlier videos that have this same Freemasonic checkerboard symbolism... all purely coincidental of course! [Showing you who is in control of her and her 100% controlled/manufactured career]

A lot can be gleaned from looking at an artist's first few videos and the symbolism put in them as it often gives us clues as to who is the man behind the curtain pulling the strings of the puppet performer, as I tried to show with Katy Perry. This is certainly true of Kylie and pretty blatantly portrays her as being controlled by Freemasons, many of her other videos have symbolism in them but I cannot go into them all. Her first one, "I should be so Lucky" [not written by her] and third one "The Loco-Motion" [anything done in a Lynch movie is mind control] both contain clear Freemasonic checkerboard floor symbolism, pictured above and below. Lucky is above, note the head behind her, probably made of clay; and the grid pattern, those red things look like butterfly wings to me. Loco-Motion checkerboard is below, her 1st and 3rd videos have the checkerboard floor in them (see how important the checkerboard is to Freemasonry as it is the floor of their temple in Liverpool Street; Mountains video in this post [also note the pentagram below which can also be seen in the same video, more info on that video here; most of it is bs though], so #1 and #3 videos have Freemasonic checkerboards, 13 [yes even the order of her videos is ritualized].

In the music video for "Where the Wild Roses Grow" she appears in a trance for most of it submerged under water, and the video is based on the (ped)Ophelia painting [based on Francis Bacon's Hamlet character Ophelia] which should be a lot easier to interpret now (all these artists, usually paid to do things by the elite; are in on it, many of their paintings are based on women who are mind controlled, see In Shattered Dreams post for Picasso example [that Ophelia painting is currently housed at the Tate museum for more synchs to that post]. Note the serpent below, rose, rabbit etc., highly occult/MK.

Speaking of Kylie and serpents (remember other media monarchs are portrayed with snakes such as Britney), PETA(phile) went all schizoid over her having a Python skin handbag[note Daily Mail article "cruel skinning", skinning people alive is used in programming (the snakes are also alive as the skinning is done and after)]. Note the checkerboard pattern, and the dissociative (mind interprets that pattern as two individual paths/lines, but the subconscious mind interprets it as one, wrote about it with better description in this post and others) "90 degree corner turning" (turning a corner = changing to a different alter) pattern that I still struggle to describe.

Some of her videos portray her many alters (i.e. her sex-alter [cat/kitten] called simply: "SEX KYLIE" in the above "Did it Again") Note the "Little Miss", the 7 rotated to look an L (showing the spin/rotation, the mind interprets symbols no matter if they're mirrored/reversed/etc.: when we call 999 in an emergency; our mind also interprets it at 666 (this is why 999 is used in the UK, 911 in America is obviously used for 9/11 ritual purposes), many MK victims see the reversed number (through significant programming) instead of what is actually there.

In her video for "Breathe", we are shown all seeing eye symbolism just after a Labyrinth style sphere is randomly shown at the start, as well as herself being trapped in her own eye at the end.

n recent years, scientists have mixed the DNA of a jellyfish with that of a monkey, creating a "transgenic" animal that glows in the dark. ("Transgenic" means possessing the genes of more than one type of organism.) Scientists have also inserted spider DNA into the genes of goats, creating ewes that produce milk containing spider-web silk. The goal of the project is to extract sufficient web silk — one of the strongest and lightest substances known — to create an industry in spider-silk products.

Other researchers are creating transgenic animals that contain minute quantities of human DNA. For example, the team that stunned the world with Dolly the cloned sheep, hope to genetically engineer cloned animals that produce human enzymes and proteins in their blood or milk, and then extract these substances — a process known as "pharming" — for use in the manufacture of human medicines.

But what about human transgenic research? Are any biotech companies or researchers putting animal DNA into human embryos? Nobody knows. But, unbelievable as it may sound, some bioethicists and philosophers explicitly endorse engineering animal DNA into human embryos as one method of producing the "post-human" race.

Welcome to the surreal world of "transhumanism," a nascent and explicitly eugenic philosophy that advocates taking control of human evolution through gene modification. Transhumanism may seem like something posted on the web by a guy who wears a crystal pyramid on his head to keep the CIA from intercepting his thoughts. To the contrary. Transhumanists come from the highest levels of academe. The founder of the movement, Nick Bostrom, is a professor of philosophy at Yale University who recently received a three-year fellowship at Oxford. Other pioneer transhumanists include Professor James Hughes of Trinity College, Hartford, and Gregory Stock, director of the Program on Medicine, Technology, and Society at the School of Medicine, UCLA, and author of the recent book Redesigning Humans.

Transhumanists are breaking the intellectual ground they hope will eventually lead to public acceptance of genetic manipulation — not just to improve health, but to change our very natures. Indeed, Stock expects that within several generations, post-humans will be so diverse they will require artificial help to procreate because their heterodox genetic makeup will be incompatible with natural reproduction.

Transhumanists are biotech absolutists. They claim humans should not merely be allowed to metamorphose themselves through surgery, cybertechnology, and the like, but should have the right to control the destiny of their genes by means of progeny design and fabrication. This could include replacing natural chromosomes with artificial chromosomes, increasing or decreasing the number of chromosomes in offspring or clones, and even — in Hughes's words — "mixing species boundaries through transgenic technologies."

ANIMAL RIGHTS AND THE BRAVE NEW WORLD
Transhumanist theory has arisen in the context of a strengthening nexus between the views already popular in bioethics and animal-rights advocacy. This intellectual intertwining is most evident in "personhood theory" — according to which rights come not from simply being human but rather from possessing relevant cognitive capacities. The relativist approach of bioethics, ironically, dovetails nicely with the absolutist view of animal-rights ideology that accepts no moral distinction between humans and "nonhuman animals." Moreover, both ideologies advance the march toward Brave New World. After all, if the human race is merely another animal herd, then why not eugenically "improve" it through the new technologies of genetic husbandry — as we are beginning to do with pigs and cows?

This is certainly the approach of University of Alabama bioethicist Gregory E. Pence, an enthusiastic proponent of reproductive cloning. In his book Who's Afraid of Human Cloning? Pence writes, "In some ultimate sense, humans are both nothing more, and as wonderful as, compassionate monkeys." By "weakening the ethical boundary between non-human and human animals," he asserts that it will be easier to "do to humans some of the things we think quite sane to do to animals," beginning with cloning and moving from there to genetic modification.

After that, for transhumanists, would come the long march to post-humanity. And here, too, animal-rights ideology comes into play. James Hughes sees animal-rights activists and transhumanists as natural allies since both are "opposed to [human] anthropocentrism." Hughes's point is this: Once we've been knocked off our pedestal of moral superiority, society will accept measuring a biological "platform's" (human, post-human, animal, etc.) moral worth by determining its level of consciousness. Thus, post-humans, humans, animals genetically engineered for intelligence, natural fauna, and even machines, would all be measured by the same standards.

All three misanthropic ideologies — animal rights, "personhood" bioethics, and transhumanism — threaten universal human equality. Unfortunately, they have also arrived at a moment when traditional cultural norms concerning the sanctity of human life have been significantly undermined. And the future won't wait for us to regain our moral equilibrium. Genetic science is advancing at mach-speed.

In recent years we have tried to take control, but our record is not good. Yes, President Bush restricted federal funding for embryonic stem-cell research. But the attempts to outlaw human cloning have generally foundered. Despite polls showing that most Americans want to ban all human cloning, apart from a few legislators in a handful of states, our government leaders are at an impasse. The House passed a total ban on human cloning, but the Senate has been unable to pass even a moratorium. And while it is clear that a law outlawing cloning-to-produce-children (CPC) could pass easily, such a ban would be worse than no law at all, since it would be linked to an explicit license to engage in cloning-for-biomedical-research (CBR). Such a law would ultimately result not only in clone children but in an opening of the floodgates of venture capital to Brave New World entrepreneurs.

Even without a massive infusion of investment money, cloning research has advanced to the point that companies are seeking patents on human life — the ultimate act of dehumanization. Yet when Sen. Sam Brownback (R., Kan.) introduced legislation to prohibit human life from being a proper subject of patent, Sen. Ted Kennedy (D., Mass.) took to the Senate floor and yelled a speech stating his unequivocal opposition.

This stalemate will require greater levels of imagination and creativity from opponents of the post-human future. We also need to learn from experience. The human cloning/patent controversies teach us that if we wait until the science is already "here" before attempting to corral it, we may already be too late. Thus, we should strive to think ahead, anticipate events — and act, rather than react.

A MODEST SUGGESTION
So what to do pending a breaking of the cloning impasse? Allow me to suggest a new tack that should not generate major opposition except from ideologues with a science uber alles mentality: I propose that the United States outlaw the genetic manipulation of human embryos with non-human DNA.

Banning transgenic research on human life would have several benefits. First, we would show that we have some capacity to draw proper ethical parameters beyond which biotechnological researchers may not stray. That would be a badly needed win in this season of political frustration. Second, such a law would be a small victory in the coming struggle with transhumanism. Most importantly, by prohibiting researchers from manipulating nascent human life, we would send a clarion message that we are not just another animal in the forest. We cannot be manipulated like so many transgenic sheep. Human life has ultimate value simply and merely because it is human.

On Friday, September 5, 2008, there will be an unprecedented landmark television media blitz on ABC, CBS, and NBC to raise money to fight cancer. The live, commercial-free fundraiser, sponsored by StandUp2Cancer.org, will feature A-list Hollywood celebrities reminding viewers that 1,500 Americans die from cancer every day.   The tax-deductible contributions will go to Stand Up To Cancer, a tax-exempt charity of the Entertainment Industry Foundation. Viewers will be urged to support "partners" of the event, such as Lee jeans, Revlon, AOL, and others. The donations will go to selected "dream teams" of scientific researchers "of the most visionary minds around."   As far as I know, none of the money will help cancer victims pay for cancer treatment.   It is unlikely the media will inform the public that last year the National Cancer Institute (NCI) spent 4.75 billion of taxpayer money on cancer research, including 51 million on breast cancer research, and 305 million on prostate cancer research. Since the so-called War On Cancer began in 1971, the government has spent more then 40 billion dollars on cancer research. Unfortunately, few Americans can now afford treatment for serious forms cancer, unless they have adequate medical insurance.   Despite the extensive transfer of cancer-causing viruses and cancer tumors into various species of laboratory animals worldwide, the War on Cancer ended in the early 1980s, as a total failure. What was accomplished in 1971 was the marriage of the military biological warfare establishment at Ft. Detrick, Maryland, to the cancer research establishment at the NCI. When the Cancer Program ended, it was immediately followed by the AIDS epidemic which broke out in gay men in 1981. Since that time we have witnessed the emergence of new viral diseases, one notable example being the mosquito-born West Nile Virus, previously confined to Central Africa and now an endemic killer in many parts of America.   What exactly has been accomplished in the search for the cause and cure of cancer over the past century? Prostate cancer is the leading cause of cancer in American men, killing 28,000 per year. If a man lives long enough, it is believed that every man will eventually develop prostate cancer. Yet, if he asks his doctor how to prevent prostate cancer, or what causes prostate cancer, his doctor will not know.   One of the reasons for the failure of the War on Cancer is that physicians have completely ignored bacteria (not viruses) as a cause of cancer. The idea that bacteria cause cancer is strictly taboo in modern medical science. Researchers who have studied the "cancer microbe" have always been professionally marginalized and sometimes even actively persecuted. (Two notable examples of this are Raymond Royal Rife's microscopic research showing bacteria in tumors; and the cancer bacteria research of the "notorious" Wilhelm Reich, who was sent to prison where he died in 1957.)   In the late nineteenth century, William Russell, a famous pathologist from Scotland, was the first to report "the characteristic organism of cancer" in every cancer case he examined microscopically. Since Russell's first report in 1890, a small cadre of rogue scientists has continued this "cancer microbe" research up to the present time.   During the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, the most extensive cancer microbe research was reported by physician Virginia Livingston, bacteriologist Eleanor Alexander-Jackson PhD, cell cytologist Irene Dlller PhD, and world famous biochemist and tuberculosis- researcher Florence Seibert PhD. These four women were mentors in educating me about the TB-like bacteria that lie at the root of cancer; and they painstakingly described the appearance of these bacteria in cancerous tissue and in culture, yet their revolutionary findings remain largely unknown and unrecognized to this day. (See, my article "Virginia Livingston, M.D.: Cancer quack or medical genius?" posted on the website of the Independent Cancer Research Institute.)   Fortunately, one can use the Internet to learn a great deal about the pleomorphic (variously sized and shaped) bacteria, as well as the virus-like, mycoplasma-like, and fungal-like forms of the cancer microbe in cancer tissue and in laboratory culture. Livingston claimed that everyone carries the type bacteria found in cancer. The fact that all men eventually get prostate cancer may be a reflection of this concept.     Details of the germ of cancer can be found in my books: The Cancer Microbe, Four Women Against Cancer, and AIDS;The Mystery and the Solution. Prior to my report, which was first posted on the www.joimr.org website in 2004, there was little or no interest in bacteria in this common male cancer. Fortunately, since then a few adventurous researchers have confirmed this research. (See, "Even more proof cancer is caused by bacteria", posted on rense.com on 2-23-08.)       Why does the cancer establishment ignore cancer microbe research?     Undoubtedly, the recognition and acceptance of cancer-causing bacteria might cause chaos (and financial loss) among physicians who routinely treat certain cancers with radiation and chemotherapy. The reason for this is simple: treating cancer with radiation damages healthy tissue; and chemo damages the immune system. If cancer were proven to be an infection with bacteria, these methods would no longer be considered ideal treatment for an infectious disease.   It is possible that many people reading this posting might deem it highly implausible and improbable for cancer microbes to exist without being recognized by cancer experts and pathologists. However, a careful study of the history of modern medicine indicates that a handful of doctors and researchers (and sometimes just even one physician) can be correct about a disease being caused by bacteria, while millions of their colleagues believe otherwise. (There are about 1.5 million physicians in the U.S.)   For a century, doctors thought that bacteria could not live in the acid environment of the stomach. Thus, in 1940, when pathologist A. Stone Freedberg (using a special silver tissue stain) reported bacteria in stomach ulcers, his discovery was ignored. Several decades later, bacterial infection finally became widely accepted as the most common cause of stomach ulcers. Chronic ulcers can also lead to stomach cancer. Two Australian researchers won the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 2005 for proving that bacteria caused stomach ulcers.   Because physicians do not believe in cancer microbes, there is no orthodox treatment for cancer bacteria; and I have no recommendations. However, if I were diagnosed with cancer I would insist on studying my cancerous tissue to determine the presence of bacteria. Unfortunately, one cannot totally rely on pathologists to do this because they generally do not identify bacteria in cancer, nor do they employ the special "acid-fast" tissue staining required to view these microbes more easily.   One should not be surprised if the cancer establishment eventually is forced to accept bacteria as a cause of cancer. However, it is my belief that the public will probably have to educate the doctors on cancer microbe research. A simple Google search of: "cancer bacteria" and/or "cancer microbes" reveals a wealth of information about these bacteria, all of which will be ignored by the cancer charity asking for your donations to Stand Up To Cancer!   So why is Hollywood again hustling the American public for more money for cancer research when there is zero interest in cancer bacteria? And at a time when people are struggling to pay medical bills and accumulating medical debt at an increasing rate, this according to a survey by the Commonwealth Fund, a private foundation that supports independent research on healthcare.   When Hollywood calls on you to empty your wallet, my advice is: "Just Say No."     Save your money for the time when you or a family member get an unfortunate diagnosis of cancer. You will then need every penny you can muster up to pay for it; and don't look to Hollywood to help you foot the medical bill.   (Dr. Cantwell is a retired dermatologist.
