Quality, depth and truth are rarely, if ever, found in the mainstream. Whether in art, music, literature, science, history or knowledge itself, the good stuff always emanates from the outside.

The mainstream edifice lies at the heart of every industrialized society. It is presented to the populace as a guidebook of how to live: what to do, what to consume, what to think. It erases any sense of the divine and sovereign nature of being, deconstructing the individual as soon as possible to achieve a smoother level of compliance. By dissuading personal reflection or metaphysical contemplations through the amplification of stress and urgency, the mainstream succeeds in sucking everyone into the consensus median where all things are pre-defined, undemanding and officially approved. No thinking required.

Through invasive expression at every node in the matrix, education, healthcare, commerce, war and government, the mainstream resonance pattern is firmly established in each individual, usually irreversibly so, by the age of seven. From here on, it becomes clear that the mainstream is operating the old carrot and stick routine. The stick being the pressure to conform, the carrot being the material profits that conformity brings. It rewards obedience over enquiry, apathy over engagement, distraction over enlightenment. The mainstream is the antithesis of individuality. As William Blake said in 1818, “I must create a system or be enslaved by another man’s.”

Welcome To The Hive

The mainstream is the way of the hive. Perceive the hive as a medieval city within defensive walls. What goes in and what goes out is controlled by official guards operating under strict orders. All access to information, goods and services is meticulously regulated by the rulers of the city. As a citizen living within the hive, the knowledge that is available to you has been edited, spliced and diluted before you get anywhere near it. You have no real idea about what goes on outside the hive. Many hive dwellers believe that those outside the hive are plotting its downfall. After a few generations of living in the hive, the general citizenship (a) have become accustomed to obeying hive law, (b) cannot remember what came before the hive and (c) cannot imagine what might be a better alternative to life in the hive.

Up until the end of the 17th Century, the hive was a literal and physical reality for many. Feudal society, characterized by the legal subjection of the majority of the population to a hereditary landholding elite, reigned for many hundreds of years until it was finally brought down by the peasant class who decided that a lifetime of enforced slavery to the elites was unfair and inhuman. Stories of bloody revolts and uprisings (by no means limited to just peasants) fill the history books. It was a long and bitter struggle to change society with 330 years of separate revolts over France, Estonia, England, Catalonia, Hungary, Slovenia, Germany, Sweden, Croatia, Finland and Russia, officially ending with the Swiss Peasant War of 1653.

In the face of this massive social disintegration, the elites realized that a shrewder system of control was required to keep man from realizing that he can and should be governing himself. The subtle shift from overt to covert control was manifesting and it was to be the sanctified dominion of religion that would take the laws out of the hands of the common man and seemingly pass them to God himself. The Christian church, having systematically slaughtered millions in a series of military campaigns lasting 250 years (aka the crusades), was now set to become the new standard bearer of the hive’s sociological, moral and spiritual edicts.

The church austerely decreed and upheld hive principles, on every issue under the sun, from commerce to sexuality, from art to science, from taxation to war. The state was inextricably linked to the church and failure to give allegiance to God (the Church) and the King was punishable by death. These were the good old days for the Control System. If they didn’t like what you said they’d take you away, chop your head off and stick it on a spike at the city gates. Individuals, groups, countries and whole continents were subject to the destructive tyranny of a single belief system.

In today’s secular society, the Control System has once more transferred the hive reins. This time, they have been passed from the church to the corporations; the mega-corporations that own the governments, military and media - and even these super powerful entities are merely executing the plans of higher masters. If this is in any doubt to the uninitiated reader, I would suggest there is further homework to be done, not for summarization here.

Group Think

A central tenet in the philosophical model of the hive is group think. This is a system of thought within which group members reach consensus without critically analyzing or evaluating specific ideas and concepts. Group think can be manipulated to produce everything from infernal Kafkaesque bureaucracies to rampaging mobs, depending on the desired outcome.

Psychologist Irving Janis determined eight symptoms that are indicative of group think: (1) illusions of invulnerability, (2) rationalising warnings that challenge group assumptions, (3) unquestioned belief in the morality of the group, (4) stereotyping those who are opposed to the group as weak, evil, disfigured, impotent, or stupid, (5) direct pressure to conform, (6) self censorship, (7) illusions of unanimity, (8) mindguards, self-appointed members who shield the group from dissenting information.

Every major Capitalist, Communist and Totalitarian regime demonstrates these characteristics. Group think is not an Orwellian fiction, it is a day-to-day reality.

Carefully implanted group think memes are used over and over again to accelerate and heighten public opinion and social trends. Problem – Reaction – Solution as it has become known (thanks David). As a perfect and perennial illustration, in order to manufacture civil unrest, the Control System uses an inflammatory formulation of nationalism, negligent immigration controls and the mixing of incompatible racial groups to manufacture a ready-made time bomb. In recent times, this is most evident with the purposeful social polarization of Britons against Pakistanis, Americans against Mexicans, French against Algerians, Italians against Albanians and so on. They achieve this by establishing parallel segregated communities (slums), exploiting working class tensions over jobs and housing and highly sensationalist and irresponsible reporting of inter-racial violence.

With the European Super State now encouraging movement from Eastern Europe to the more highly technocratic West, there has been a massive influx of Polish and Ukrainian people into England. The gentle middle classes are privately displeased to hear a Polish accent at the supermarket checkout. This is precisely the desired reaction the Control System seeks to illicit. It is the precursor to the radical social solution that they will inevitably proffer: an enormous all-encompassing surveillance and tracking system. The requisite infrastructure is already present in every major UK city, from London to Birmingham, from Manchester to Edinburgh. Nowhere else on the planet has so much surveillance.

Are You Normal?

The hive seeks to associate normality with hive behaviour. Do what everyone else does and you’ll have no problems. Thus it swells the ranks of ‘the lowest common denominator’ who so obediently and diligently uphold the values of the mainstream.

In behavioural psychology normal means a lack of significant deviation from the average. It is considered good to be normal and anything else is either a bit weird or just bad. One only has to take a look at the proliferation of reality TV talent shows which encourage viewers to ridicule the outrageous and feel relief at their own normality. This is an amusing concept for those who value genius, creativity, eccentricity, passion and vision. None of these things ever spring from that which is normal. Yet the hive vigorously champions the normal and rewards those who infect themselves with its crass mediocrity and conformity with guarantees of group acceptance and pleasurable distraction.

Even abstract concepts like ‘intelligence’ have been co-opted by the hive and strictly aligned with prescribed doctrines to associate ‘achievement’ with behavioral and intellectual conformity. In this vein, we are taught that intelligence is a faculty of the mind that is developed and measured using a set of officially sanctioned tests and examinations. Accurate recall of facts and figures being as valuable, if not more so, than inspired interpretation or better still, invention. The fluent repetition of official theory and data sets, from the age of 5 to 25, is a mark of consenting to the Control System reality broadcast. Philosophical and metaphysical contemplation are discouraged and devalued by playing down their relevance to a modern technocratic society. Music and the arts play an ever diminishing role in the central curriculum for primary and secondary education. For hive dwellers, their intelligence is a circus trick and nothing more.

Intelligence is better conceived of as the act of synchronously connecting with the universe. In any particular moment this may be represented by a thought, a conversation, a creative impulse, or an act of love or deep friendship. The level of intelligence is characterized by the degree of relevance, lucidity and inspiration in any such form of expression.

Don’t Touch That Dial

Hive messages that ooze from the TV must be scrutinized with particular care. This is, after all, the place where most people get their information, so it follows that an extraordinary amount of time and effort go into infusing apparently innocuous programs and advertisements with group think conditioning.

Screen images of laughter, pleasure and the aspiring family unit can seem harmless enough, even morally agreeable. Though after a little study, their underlying memes become transparent. For example, the hive message of “relax, enjoy your hard earned leisure time and chill out” actually means “eat Doritos, watch TV and shut the fuck up”. The hive's evening news broadcast with grim tales of war, disaster, murder and failing healthcare and infrastructure systems is, in reality, vigorously discouraging you from seeking out your own information, because it will make you feel uncomfortable. They are selling the idea that news is inherently unpleasant, but at least they dress it up nicely. Apart from their official broadcasts, no news is good news. Communication is one way only: from them to you. They talk you listen. Don’t ask questions. “A still tongue makes a happy life” (answers on a postcard).

I witnessed a conversation recently, where an old lady said, “If aspartame was bad for you, the government wouldn’t allow it in the food. So it must be OK.” This is a reminder of the devastating penetration of the Control System and the efficacy of hive mentality. Viral ignorance and total loss of selfhood. Resisting the temptation to grab the soda bottle from her hand and smash it against the wall (for her own good), I reflected instead that in her case, it would be wiser for her brain to be suitably desensitized from the coming dramas. Better just suck on that soda.

It should be noted that hive mentality differs significantly from unitary consciousness or the 4D transcendental mind in several essential ways. There have been some researchers and commentators who have expressed concern that the oneness and unity of certain models of consciousness sound alarmingly like the cybernetic hive mind or global state that the Illuminist groups are desperately trying to manufacture. There is no cause for concern. Even with the most cursory of glances, it should be crystal clear that the two things bear no resemblance to each other. Where the hive seeks hierarchical classification of authority and information, unitary consciousness dissolves hierarchy completely and all information flows transparently and telepathically. The hive states you’re either with us or against us, black or white, good or evil. Unitary consciousness moves beyond such polarity knowing that these illusions arise from separateness and fear. Where the hive suppresses the development of individuality, the 4D mind welcomes it as a beautiful creative act of consciousness, the dynamic expression of divinity in the individual soul.

It’s high time we left the hive. Time to go outside. The Control System shift from King > Church > Corporation may possibly end with something even more egregious and unpleasant. Think Gary McKinnon’s investigations that got him into hot water. Now is the time to lessen dependencies on hive infrastructure. This is certainly more spiritual and psychological than physical. Sure, think about land, food and water, and community, but in the end it is one’s own psychological preparedness and the spiritual frequency we emanate that will be of most benefit to ourselves and others. Find yourself, then find the others.

The hive also offers a poor vantage point from which to witness the dimensional shift that is already occurring around this beautiful planet. Instead, I’d recommend finding a nearby forest clearing, wooded hillside or mountain stream. Just stand there, breathe it in and marvel at the unfolding illusion. It is the grand teaching… moving from the paradox of polarity to the harmony of being the one
